Jessica and Joanna's Jumpsuit Swap

Jessica and I are a little obsessed when it comes to jumpsuits. Not only are they adorable, but they're also versatile and functional for our jobs. Since both of us are wedding photographers, we are constantly juggling looking dressy and being able to kneel, bend over, climb, run etc., for wedding day chaos. We often find the answer to this predicament in the jumpsuit.

Aside from being jumpsuit fans, we both have a deep appreciation for vintage. You can expect that no matter where we go or travel, scoping out the local thrift shops for vintage finds is always on the list, and that is exactly how we happened upon these original gems.

Jessica was in Boston for work/music festival when she found this teal 80's baby. She instantly fell in love with the detail on the waist and breast piece, shoulder pads, and overall funky vibes. However, this jumpsuit was not meant to be hers so it seemed. The torso and piece was too short and the legs too long, but she couldn't leave it behind. She made the purchase always.

Meanwhile, Joanna went back home to visit family when she happened upon this 70's piece. Combing through an assuming thrift store, she found this fabulous maroon/floral jump suit complete with buttons and shoulder wings. While it was a tad short on her legs and loose in the butt, she too couldn't bare to pass it up so home with her it went.

Fast forward to today, #wardrobewednesday shooting day and we both arrived with jumpsuits in hand to coincidently discover that we had found each others soul-suits. My maroon jumpsuit fit Jessica like a glove, and her teal jumpsuit was made for me. What can we say, it was just meant to be.

And if you were wondering, the maroon one was $4 and the teal one was $15. Fabulous, right? And although we not don these babies on weddings days, you can be sure we're going to be rocking them.
